I started doing Pilates every week or so a few months ago, and initially I just wanted to try it because I had seen so much about it on social media and wanted to try it for myself. I had done around 5 classes, and was enjoying it as it was a nice change of pace from my usual workouts, and felt like a was giving my body a rest because the moves didn’t feel very challenging.
A few weeks ago, I ended up going to a class with a different instructor, and found that this class was much more challenging, and I felt like I was getting a lot more out of it. While I enjoyed the slow pace of the other class, I now feel like I can really challenge myself and get the most benefits out of it. One of my goals for this year is to improve my flexibility, and I think incorporating Pilates once or twice a week along with my strength training will help with that along with improving my posture and core strength.
