Prior to starting my fitness journey, I was often undereating, restricting myself of calories and food I loved which led to binging, and always tried to find quick fixes to help me feel better about myself, both physically and mentally. I found that making small changes over time allowed me to build healthy habits over time!

🤍 I find that the easiest way for me to reach my calorie intake for the day without having to track what I’m eating is to just eat balanced meals 3x a day, along with other snacks throughout the day. I try to have a carb, protein, and fat in each meal throughout the day!

🤍 About a year into my fitness journey, I went through a period of time where I was lifting heavy 6-7 days a week. This, paired with me struggling with undereating, caused me long-term fatigue and lead to an injury. After that, I found that training 4-5 days is a sweet spot for me to reach my goals without overdoing and still listening to my body.

🤍 One thing about me is that I can never get myself to sit down — between walking my dog, my active RN job, errands, and the gym, I tend to average over 8,000 steps per day, with a goal of 10,000. I don’t prioritize cardio as much as I should, but I try to make sure I still stay active throughout the day!

🤍 NO RESTRICTIONS! I cannot stress this enough. If you cut out the foods you love and force yourself to eat plain foods all the time, you are not going to enjoy the process at all and it won’t be sustainable long-term. I live by eating something sweet or “unhealthy” every day!
