Tucked inside Somerset 313, Tsuta is known as the World's First Michelin-starred Ramen restaurant! Created by Chef Yuki Onishi, this ramen spot prides itself on delivering original, elevated ramen flavors using fresh, natural ingredients—no artificial components or MSG in sight.

Despite always passing by this place, I’d never tried it as I assumed reservations were required. Fun fact: no reservations are needed, they only accept walk-ins!

I was excited to finally walk in and browse through their menu, which, although not extensive, has enough variety to suit different preferences. With only two of us dining, we made sure to pick carefully from the offerings.

Here’s what we ordered:

1. Crab Soba - 10/10 The star of the meal, this dish featured premium Kurobuta Loin, Iberico Belly, Crab Meat in Tomato Paste, and Japanese Snow Crab served in a crab shell. The noodles were springy and chewy, with a thick, flavorful broth. Given the price, it felt like an absolute steal!

2. Wagyu Beef Roll - 8/10 While this dish didn’t stand out much, it was a generous portion and featured premium ingredients. The fried garlic chips garnished on top added a nice crunch.

3. Aburi Salmon Mentaiko Roll - 10/10 The smokiness of the aburi salmon paired perfectly with the creamy mentaiko sauce, creating a delightful fusion of flavors.

The service was efficient and friendly, and I’ll definitely return to try more of their ramen selections!
