One of the most tedious house chores as a stay at home mom has to be cooking.
You mean to tell me I have to come up with 3 meals a day, plus snacks, for 2 little humans, EVERYDAY?!!
This is not what I meant when I said I wanted a tamagotchi pets😂
But in all seriousness, meal planning can be stressful. You get tired of eating the same stuff, forget to get groceries to cook & loose motivation.
Here are 3 meal planning tips I implement weekly to make my life easier.
1. MEAL PLAN
You’re going to sit down with a meal planner (or dedicated meal planning notebook) & write down breakfast, lunch & dinner for the next 7 days.
Use Lemon8, TikTok & the Tasty app for inspo & (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT) make sure you have 2-3 easy meals that can be made in a crockpot or baked & freezer friendly!
Write down ALL the ingredients you need, don’t forget snacks too, & go grocery shopping.

2. FREEZER MEALS
On the day you plan to do a crockpot meal or freezer meal, you’re going to double (or triple) the recipe so you can cook one for that day & freeze 1 (or 2) for later.
⭐️Not only will they come in handy on those days you don’t feel like cooking, but it divides the work & steps you have to do to make that meal separately each time.
3. BULK COOK/BAKE SNACKS
To lighten the meal prepping workload, use the night you make a crock pot dinner to cook or bake snacks in bulk like muffins, pb&js & protein bars.
⭐️So you have options for the 10 times a day your kids ask for snacks. Plus they’re healthier & more affordable than prepackaged snacks.
