Somebody PLSSSS get this cafe a new ID 😩👎🏻

💫 I patronised this place on a Saturday afternoon with 3 friends, & we regretted it 🫤👎🏻 It was packed to the brim, & the layout sucks. The staff told us to just wait around for a table but doing so just gets you in the way of those queueing to order. If you do wanna takeaway, the staff said that they recommend max 1.5h out of the refrigerator. This family of 3 saw us getting pushed around by the crowd, & they kindly waved us over to take their spot as they cleaned up to leave 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Now, I’ll explain why WE hate the layout 🚫 I’ve attached a photo of the seating arrangement at the last photo, taken from their website. Initially, the table given to us already had 2 girls sitting on the inner side whilst the 4 of us sat on the outer side. So when these girls were ready to leave, all 4 of us had to get off the seats, to let these 2 girls out. Mind you, it’s already crowded & small, & for customers who weren’t paying attention, they immediately assumed that all 6 of us were leaving & attempted to “snatch” our table from us 😩😩 Secondly, the slab of seat is being shared by 2 tables. So you’re essentially gonna be BACK TO BACK with the person behind you 👥 Now this is where your luck plays in. Is your “back buddy” considerate or not? Ours “back buddies” were not ideal neighbours. The girl behind me gesticulated a lot, so she often ended up elbowing me. Despite all the “sorry”, it’s very annoying (& painful). Another friend had a man sitting behind her, & frankly speaking, he’s big in size. He took up a lot of space (for his belly), so my friend didn’t have much space if she doesn’t want their backs to touch. There was a girl who wanted to form a barrier between my friend & herself. So she placed her tote bag in between them. But helloooo, it’s already so cramped, now it’s 2 butts + 1 bag sharing the width of the slab, & she’s just pushing the bag towards my friend for more seat space 😒🙄 The bar stools were no where near intimate as they look because the queue is right beside it, and everyone is just eyeballing 👀 you & your seat/table as they’re queueing. The staffs were too busy to clean the tables up, so there’s a huge responsibility on the customers to clean after themselves. Not a problem for most of us imo, but there will always be a black sheep. Some people just left their tables dirty & expected the next group to clean up if they wanna sit there, which personally, I find very inconsiderate.

To sum it up, the vibes of this place is a flat out no.

🍽️ We treated ourselves to the Signature Cheesecake 🧀 & the Olivia Chocolate 🍫 Unfortunately, out of 4 pax, only 2 liked them. The Signature Cheesecake was rather watery in the middle, but as you get closer to the edge, the consistency thickens, & the taste changes too. We all preferred the thicker consistency & taste, where the cream & blue cheese wasn’t too overwhelming. If you are a cheese lover, especially blue cheese, this would be for you. It’s a very savoury dish, so if you’re looking for a sweet cheesecake, this is not for you. The Olivia Chocolate on the other hand, was boring. Sure it’s thick, but the chocolate overpowered the cheese, it’s more of a chocolate tart, sprinkled with some bitter chocolate powder 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I guessss it’s a good alternative for those looking for something sweet here

💲 $10-$50 for cheesecake, $4-$8 for drinks

❗️ They do have bundles, but there’s little to no savings from it. For eg, you can get the Olivia Cheesecake + a Homemade drink for $22. If you op for the most expensive homemade drink, you’ll only save 50cents, whereas if you opt for the cheapest drink, you’re making a $2 loss instead 🤨🤨 you’re honestly better off without the bundles

🤔 Would I go again? No 😔❌ They recently opened a new outlet at Scotts Square where there are actual proper seats which I think would be a better outlet to patronise. If you do wanna patronise this outlet, please come off peak, cos the crowd + poor layout is just not it. Additionally, maybe because I’m not a HUGE fan of cheese, I didn’t think it’s that fantastic. I left feeling rather disappointed due to the overhype around it🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe you will enjoy it more than I did, who knows
