Here are some tips to improve your squat depth and form! The key is to enhance your hip mobility, so stretching is super important.

1. Dynamic stretches

Before squatting, always do your dynamic stretches! Leave the static ones for post-workout. Some stretches that have improved my hip mobility and opened up them flexors:

- butterfly hip stretch

- frog stretch

- kneeling lunges

- squatting internal rotations

- front leg swings

- lateral leg swings

2. Film your squat

it’s good practice to film your squat, so that you can track your form and bar path after! The app I use for bar path tracking is Iron Path :)

3. Focus on form > weight

I know it sucks to feel like you’re plateauing at the same weight, but if you haven’t nailed the squat form yet, it can be dangerous to progressively overload! Brace your core and work with an empty bar first~
