Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened 🧈
1 cup brown sugar 🟤
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs 🥚
2 tsp vanilla extract 🌿
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips 🍫
Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in Chocolate Chips: Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Shape Cookies: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
Add Sea Salt: Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on each cookie.
Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
