Shrimp Scampi Recipe

Ingredients:

 • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

 • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

 • 3 tbsp olive oil

 • 4 garlic cloves, minced or chopped

1 shallot

 • 1/4 cup white wine (or chicken broth)

 • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

 • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

 • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)

 • old bay, garlic powder, black pepper

 • Cooked pasta or French bread for serving

Instructions:

 1. Prepare the shrimp: Season the shrimp with old bay, garlic powder, black pepper. Set aside.

 2. Sauté the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the pan in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.

 3. Make the sauce: Add the remaining butter to the pan. Next add in the chopped shallots, and garlic. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes then Stir in the white wine (or broth), and lemon juice and optional red pepper flakes .Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.

 4. Combine: Return the shrimp to the pan, toss to coat in the sauce, and sprinkle with fresh parsley and throw in the oven for 10 minutes on 375 . Adjust seasoning to taste if needed.

Buttery Garlic Toasted French Bread

Ingredients:

 • 1 loaf of French bread, sliced in half lengthwise

 • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

 • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions:

 1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

 2. Butter the bread: Spread the butter mixture evenly over both halves of the French bread. For extra flavor, sprinkle a bit of Parmesan on top if you like.

  3. Toast in the oven: Place the bread on a baking sheet. Bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the butter has melted.

 4. Serve: Slice and serve warm alongside your shrimp scampi.
