📍Address: Da Nang, Vietnam

6D5N (11/9/2024 to 16/9/2024)

Hello! Today I will be going through my itinerary for this wonderful location for you to plan your next vacation. Da Nang was definitely a perfect holiday spot with delicious food, many activities, beach scenery and more!

Transport: $388 (1 Pax)

Not many airlines fly direct from Singapore to Da Nang so it was a bit of a challenge to reliably book on other airlines websites. In the end we went with Singapore airlines to ensure a smooth flight, good airplane food and most importantly the baggage allowance (thank gosh as we did alot of unexpected shopping)

Hotel Stay: $408 (3 Pax)

We stayed at Balcona Hotel for the entire vacation and split the cost 3 ways. So it was a really good deal from Agoda. It is a 4-star hotel which is literally in-front of the beach and beach activities like surfing, parasailing, banana boat. The service was okay (no Netflix, mini fridge not cold, housekeeping abit weird) but not a issue for us! It is also near amenities like delicious restaurants, marts, cafe, spas, salons and more! Would definitely book again but if you prefer something fancier you can see the hotels beside Balcona. Also they provided a complimentary High-Tea and their infinity pool view was amazing!

Activities: $200 (1 Pax)

This was actually very cheap considering all the fun and amazing activities we did. We booked everything via Klook from the airport transfer to hotel, to every single activity each day, and back to airport.

Spending money: $500 (1 Pax)

For our miscellaneous spending such as spa treatments, souvenir shopping, cafe hopping, grab rides and ad hoc activities. But to be honest, you can cut it by half if you aren’t staying as long or not doing much shopping. Their food ranges between $10-$25 for a group of 3 and grabs are less than $10 divided by a group of 3 for a whole day. Is extremely well priced (or cheap)

Itinerary - The 6D5N itinerary to maximise our stay here :)

Day 1 (11th September 2024)

• 2pm: Fly to Da Nang (is a <3h flight and SQ is quite comfortable and provides entertainment on board)

• 5pm: Airport Transfer to Balcona Hotel & Refresh (The transfer we booked in Klook and hotel in Agoda. No issues at all and very on time)

• 7pm: Thìa Gỗ Restaurant Da Nang (Our preference is halal and this restaurant was so extremely crowded with all sorts of international tourists and locals. And we can see why, the food is delicious and authentic even with having halal options. Really good!)

• 830pm: Son Tra Night Market (You should haggle here because they have alot of options. But yes, please haggle. If not the next cheaper option would be Han Market. We had a ice cream here. There is food here also but we rather eat at local restaurants for the experience)

• 1030pm: Head back to Balcona Hotel to unwind.

Day 2 (12th September 2024)

• 9am: We booked a Da Nang Day Tour to see the famous Lady Buddha and Marble mountains of Da Nang. We also stopped by Han Market & a delicious Vietnamese lunch was provided. Wear comfy as it definitely gets hot and lots of walking. Great tour and tried salted coffee!

• 2pm: We went to Wonderlust Cafe, which was a gorgeous cafe with delicious and aesthetic food. (The pudding was delicious!) and basically chatted and had a girls H2H.

• 5pm: Moved to Pizza 4P at Indochina Mall for next round of snacking. OMG this is the BEST PIZZA I have ever tasted. Nothing comes close. Please try it if you are in Vietnam. My only regret is not getting it one more time. We had the Margarita & Garlic Soy Beef combo.

•6pm: We walked accross the Han River Bridge to catch a sunset/night vibe and then took grab to hotel from the other side. We actually came across VinComm Plaza here which has a huge WinMart that allows you to sample and try souvenirs and snacks. I did most of my buying here.

•8pm: After we freshen up and a light rain later we grab to Helio Night Market. But is a abit empty cuz of the earlier rain. Is just food stalls and live band. Not my vibe. We ate the MacDonalds nearby. Vietnam Mac has a Mcspicy version which is even better and their chicken nugget tasty + comes in cute heart and star shapes.

•10pm: Grab back to hotel after slacking around.

Day 3 (13th September 2024)

• 7am: Ride to Bana Hills. We booked private tour via Klook and it was like a 45min ride to Bana. Is quite chill and not too crowded. We went during low season. Many many gorgeous places to take pics and explore. We also opted for the International Buffet at 4 Seasons which was delicious. My recommendation is to the outside park rides before doing the indoor rides (Fantasy Land) so u avoid rain. The French village very good pretty. The park closes at 5 and queue for cable car down begins at 4pm. So go early and finish asap. Golden hand bridge always crowded so just do your best. The alpine coaster is like a roller coaster YOU can control and best ever!

• 5pm: Head back hotel and slack.

• 820pm: Ok we left to go Halal Food Kampung Melayu. We had like 15 minutes to eat cuz we wanted to go watch the Dragon Bridge Show which starts at 9pm. The food was okay and recent. Kampong fried rice Sedap af and comes w chicken cutlet; skip the TomYum.

•9pm: Dragon Bridge and Love Bridge. Saw the dragon bridge show. Actually the bridge behind Son Tra night market lol. Is ok la, have Fire and Water come out. Go early to be nearer and with better view. Then we went to buy love locks ($6) and lock in our friendship and significant others. Very very cute ✨ group / couple activity. Then we walk one round at Son Tra market again to see if we can scam the seller before they scam us.

• 10pm: Highlands Coffee. Idk if the same as the Sg one, but is a Vietnamese chain coffee franchise. And I love it. Similar to Starbucks but 10x better and cheaper. And is basically every 5 min have one. I got the coffee milk and some caramel pudding. Highly enjoyed both!

•1045pm: Back to Balcona Hotel

Day 4 (14th September 2024)

•9am: Late woke up to eat our hotel breakfast. Actually we wanted wake up 5.30am see sunrise at our infinity pool but lazy.

•10am: Headed to My Khe beach. Wah the beach legit so nice and like 30 seconds from our hotel. The tasks was to water activities. So we walked 1-2 minutes, they have parasailing ($30 per pax) and Banana boat ($50 for 5). The parasailing can do 2 person also ($55 per couple). WAH IS NICE AND SHIOK! Highly recommend. Can stay in air longer but pay more. Worth it. We requested a chill Banana Boat ride and enjoyed scenery in on the waves. After that we walk back to our hotel the beach area and just girls h2h in the sand and splash water until HOT SUN.

•2pm: Complimentary High Tea by Balcona Hotel. Unexpected surprise, we just faster eat the high tea and move on. But is a nice gesture cuz is by their infinity pool and pretty nice view lounge area. We went to Family Indian Restaurant (halal!) via Grab. Is quite well rated but I think is alright. Good flavours. More expensive than usual Vietnam locations.

•4pm: Then we 7min walk to Golden Lotus Oriental Organic Spa. Wah freak, this place was THE BEST! so they serve you some like tea and snacks while they prepare you. We got the hour long foot / shoulder / neck massage and it was in a private room w your friend. So two of us together (the other friends went for full body massage). Damn peaceful and I almost fell asleep. And she crack ur back all. Must change into the spa outfit. Then they serve manga at the end. ($28 all together maybe) sibei worth.

•6pm: Actually we supposed to do Son Tra Marina but we behind time so we just go to Sun World Asia Park. Got many rides here to try but u can cover the park by 9pm. If you go abit earlier is better. Must ride: Roller Coaster, Viking Ship & Love Lock. Good to keep sun wheel until last as it opens until 930pm. Okay la, is not crowded and is entertaining :) many places to see and walk and in daytime can take good photos.

•10pm: The Cups Coffee Roastery + Bread and Butter Bakery. Ok came here for a quick fix for Vietnamese coffee and pastry. Once again; perfect coffee and also delicious donut. The pastry also not bad. Then again we walk around the souvenirs shops and headed home :)

Day 5 (15th September 2024)

• 9am: Son Tra Marina. So we woke up early to go just to take pics since we missed it yesterday. Need to buy a expensive coffee to enter. The ice coconut coffee was nice. Walk around and took photo. The morning sun pretty good for it actually.

•11am: Golden Lotus Oriental Spa. We enjoyed it so much we actually make extra effort to go back again and like try out a diff treatment. I got the whitening while my friends got the acne and v shape. They served all 3 of us in the room and did acne extractions for everyone + have mini massages. And yes my face did look better again lol!

• 1pm: Epic Vietnamese Bistro (halal!) so again the food here was freaking delicious. Get the beef spring rolls, beef friend rice and the spicy Bun Bo Hue (?). Is a little pricier but very nice. And also around the area , like next door shop, got canaries in cages. Haha. Good amazing as always!

• 2pm: Back to hotel to slack cuz we are going Hoi An in the afternoon.

• 3pm: Hoi An. So we bought tickets via Klook which consist of the tour guide (who is super nice!) bringing us to the coconut forest, going to Hoi An ancient town and trying a coffee (included in the package), going to boat ride along river and release lantern and also included dinner. Let’s me go through it.

> Coconut Forest: Actually pretty fun experience. They spin and shake you and you can let them know what intensity your prefer. Also can pay 100k to go the hardcore spins. The package also include like helping you take photo, which are very nice and like u can pay 10k (50 cents?) to get a photo. PLEASE DO! Support the tourism. Cuz they will photoshop you nice2 and give you a QR code for all the photos. Nice experience!

> Hoi An Cong Coffee Shop: So apparently one drink is included in the package when you can order anything. The guide help you queue. We also bought some extra yogurt (this I loved!) and mooncake to try. And also bought the guide his own coffee cuz nice gesture la.

> Lantern Boat release: After that the guide show us where to queue to get on the boat, he will purchase the tickets and lantern on your behalf so very convenient. Then you get on the boat; they will also help u take photos :)

> Night Market: Same things in Da Nang night markets with even higher prices lol.

> Gia Thien Restaurant: Actually food here delicious and included in the package. Is not halal but they will accommodate your request as much as possible.

After that we go home around 8pm cuz really very tired.

9pm: Vincom Plaza. Even thought we legit gonna die, need to come here shop at the huge winmart for more sourvenixwa for cheap and good deal/ they have such a good selection of skincare, masks, coffee, snacks , jelly (omg every jelly I bough is so freaking good), Choco, essential oils and made in Vietnam plain nice shirts.

10pm: We went back to hotel via grab cuz we need to pack lol.

Day 6 (16th September 2024)

•7am: We woke up early to experience our hotel infinity pool! We hadn’t even gotten the chance so far. Nice view great pics and I love it. Albeit a short one.

•845am: Had the hotel buffet headed to airport for our morning flight. The whole trip I wanted like a bag for my mum (ladies hand bag kind) and everything was straw. The airport souvenirs shops finally had some suitable and cute one! But please don’t buy at the first shop, look at all. I bought a pink one only to find a nicer red one elsewhere.

•3pm: Landed safely in Singapore and Yes, I wouod go back Da Nang and I’m open to discovering more of Vietnam.

Overall, Da Nang is really a under rated place. I think is perfect for a introduction to Vietnam without being overwhelming. And it’s filled with cafes, restaurants and spa as well as a gorgeous beach. You can definitely enjoy a chill romantic vacay or group travel at your own pace. And it’s really affordable as well :)
