Maximize your small space: Acrylic Furniture

Living in a small space can be challenging because in lacking storage space, you need to use larger furniture pieces like dressers and bookshelves to store your things. In doing so, you end up with an even smaller, more cluttered space.

My biggest tip that I used when furnishing my NYC studio apartment was getting a few furniture pieces in acrylic. Acrylic furniture is often a bit more expensive but I promise you, it’s worth it if your space is small like mine is. It ends up giving you more surface and storage space without taking up extra eye space because it’s clear! I also love the sleek, modern look that acrylic furniture gives.

As a maximalist, I like to have a lot of decor on my coffee table, so I chose a waterfall acrylic coffee table so my decor could pop without adding the bulk of a solid table.

I also purchased an acrylic bookcase which admittedly was pretty expensive but it lets me display my things in a chic way that doesn’t add extra visual clutter!
