wanna study in Korea? 🇰🇷 YOU NEED THIS ‼️

in order to study and/or work in Korea, you need to take the TOPIK II exam, which is a Korean Proficiency exam!! depending on the company, what level you need to achieve varies, though some companies may not require you to take this exam.

however, i have not seen a university in Korea that has not yet asked for your TOPIK scores, unless your major is taught entirely in English/Chinese. in which case you need to do the respective proficiency exams in those languages 😵‍💫

the TOPIK II is extremely difficult and i absolutely do not suggest doing it last minute (like me). i’ve already been learning korean for YEARS and ohmygod i was STRUGGLING 😭😭😭

most universities will have minimum requirement of grade 3/4 and grade 6 for scholars! i was informed by my korean teacher that even koreans struggle with this test so GOOD LUCK EVERYONE 🙃

there is only 2 TOPIK exams in Singapore, every April & October and sign ups are January and August respectively. it’s held at the Singapore Korean International School (SKIS) and you can register with them to take the exam 👍🏻

it costs $120 to do TOPIK II in Singapore, and $60 to do it in Korea. it is more convenient in Korea as they have an exam every single month as compared to Singapore’s twice a year, but there is also the added cost of travel as well 💸💸
