5 things to do at Lazarus Island 🏝

After a 20 minute boat ride from marina south pier, we finally arrived at Lazarus island! Our hands filled with bags from our grocery run, we trudged along and found a secluded spot, perfect for our little picnic. If you have not been here before, here are 5 things you can do at Lazarus island:

• go on a picnic! 🧺

we debated between packing from macs/ getting sushi from the supermarket, but decided to get sushi instead. we bought tostitos chips + mildly spicy salsa dip, watermelon (summer essential!), 3 boxes of sushi & club sandwiches! we highly recommend the tostitos chips, which were flavourful enough to eat on its own, but super yummy when dipped with salsa! the chips were shaped like a mini cup (super cute!), which made scooping the salsa so much easier.

• play card games 🃏

card games are the perfect bonding activity, and our favourite game to play is crew! it is insanely challenging, and has so many levels for us to play with. it does require some form of brain power, and since communication is greatly limited, it makes it harder to pass each round. we had a lot of fun playing crew, but be warned- it is very addictive!

• paint under the sun! 🎨

the beach is a great place to let your creativity flow! there’s so much that you can paint/ draw, and it can be done as a group activity too. we wanted to do the 1 min drawing challenge (draw for 1 min & pass it to your friends) but my friends fell asleep after eating..

• grab some zzzzs! 😮‍💨

after our huuuge picnic, coupled with the warm sun shining on our backs, we couldn’t resist taking a nap. our picnic spot was at a shaded area beneath some trees, which was perfect for some sun tanning without any fear of getting sunburnt.

• take a dip in the ocean 🌊

the best way to cool down from the afternoon sun is to go for a swim, or simply frolic around. there were quite a number of seaweed floating around, which was really cool because we had never seen live seaweed up close before! we walked around the shore and found a few really pretty seashells too 🐚

our first time at Lazarus island has been so fun, and we can’t wait to go back with more friends! remember, sunscreen is your best friend¡ we hope you have fun there too 🌞
