Voted 5th best small city in the 🌎!

Salzburg was one of my favorite parts of my travels in Europe last year 🤍 the buildings are beautiful, it felt super safe and had plenty to do and see. I definitely think it deserves to be on this list ✨

here are some things I think you should do in Salzburg👇

🏰Visit the Fortress Hohensalzburg Castle! It’s a bit of a hike up to the fortress but it’s totally worth it because not only do you get to see the fortress and learn about its history, but you get an amazingggg view of the city.

🥨Try the pretzels at Original 1. Salzburger Brez'lstand! Alongside Germany, Austria is known for its delicious Bavarian pretzels so this is a must!

⛲️Stroll through Mirabellgarten. This garden is sooo beautiful and it also has a palace within it. It’s considered a world heritage site by UNESCO! Another cool fact is that the movie “The Sound of Music” had scenes filmed here 🎞️

🏫See the Mariensäule (Marien Statue) located in Domplatz, Salzburg. This is a beautiful area to take some pictures and you can also go inside the cathedral behind the statue!

🥘Eat dinner at Restaurant Zum Eulenspiegel! I ordered the beef stroganoff and it was sooo good. This restaurant seemed like a little hidden gem; very authentic. The ambiance was also lovely. Highly recommend 🫶🏻

🎻Fun fact: the music composer Wolfgang Mozart was born in Salzburg! You can explore his house - it’s called the Mozart Residence and it’s located in Makartplatz Square. It’s open 9am-5:30pm every day and costs around 16 USD.
