went to taiwan in oct’23 & again apr’24 so here are my fav eats! 🍴

🍢 shilin night market

— oyster mushroom 9/10

i alw get the lemon salt flavour. there’s usually a queue but it moves pretty quick!

— meesua 10/10

i tried the ah zhong one at xmd & i think this one rly can fight / btr… its on the right side of the street ( sry thats the best i can describe )

⛩️ ningxia night market

— fang chia shredded chicken rice 11/10

easily best meal i’ve had there! pls order the egg, its damn good also. we also had extra portion of chicken hehe. the sauce makes everything so fragant & delectable!

— sweet potato balls 8/10

i tried the one in the middle of the street! ik thrs one v famous one at the end but i lazy queue. this was so good i had it twice : paired w sour plum powder! it was so chewy & not too “ empty / airy “ like the ones i had at xmd :(

— beehoon beansprout? 7/10

sauce was so good & very very garlicky i love it.

🍚 yi jia zi ( michelin lu rou fan ) 10/10

tried at least 5 other places but this was the best! need to queue tho, usually ard 30mins - 1h.

super amazing milk mochis! the hazelnut choco was the best, tasted like ferrero rocher.

🥛 ximending milk donuts 10/10

went back twice… got queue but moves pretty quickly! the donuts are made freshly & i swear u can taste the difference! basically donut with milk powder. rly worth a try’

stop buying ur usual taiwan souvenirs & try these! rly melt in your mouth butter cookies, they hv testers in stores so go try it for urself! bought one big box home of original & black tea flavour mixed, they’re not too sweet & rly light!

if u rly wna buy og taiwan souvenirs : best 太阳饼… they hv their own indiv store so get from thr ( xmd hv ) the milk & salted egg ones r rly good!
