Why do people make the glucose test seem so scary?

Currently 20 weeks pregnant and scheduled for my 1 hour glucose test on the week 25. I'm getting nervous because I've heard some not-so-pleasant things about it (fainting, vomiting, etc.). I HATE throwing up in particular, so that has really added to my apprehension.

So tell me honestly, without sugar-coating it (no pun intended)...how bad is the 1 hour test?
