Part 2: Japan Trip (for animal lovers)

Here’s part 2 of the places I visited in Japan, for animal lovers!! 💖

Bengal Cat & Owl forest 🦉🐈

You can opt to go for either 1 or both since they are located together. This was really fun for me bc it’s the first time I got this close to an owl! The owls were perched on branches and you get to pet them 🤩 They also have a small section of owl merch for you to shop~ We went to the bengal cat forest next, and the cats are adorable!! All of them have distinct personalities; hissy, playful, sleepy etc. It was a little anticlimactic at first bc all the cats were lazing around and/or sleeping, but as the crowd started to leave, one of the cats slept on me (I am the chosen one wahahah) Never felt so happy

Aquarium x Art Átoa 🐟🦈

I really like this place. Each section of the aquarium has its own theme and the exhibits were gorgeous! There is Japanese themed space that has glass flooring with koi fishes swimming around (right beneath your feet) + a glass dome feature with a light show. They even have a sky garden with capybaras, and a great view 😌 Every aspect was very immersive and overall a good experience 👍🏼

Sumida Aquarium 🐡🐧

Ngl I was a little disappointed bc the aquarium was not as big as I thought ): There were a few photo op exhibits, and a big space for penguins. Didn’t spend a whole lot of time here, mostly just watching penguins doing their thing~ I did had fun spinning the aquarium themed Sumikko gurashi gachas tho.

Sunshine Aquarium 🦦🦎

This place was more interesting than the previous. It has an outdoor and indoor section + some shows you can watch (so a plus point!) They have less common animal exhibits here like octopus, isopods and lizards that I haven’t seen at the other places.

The only regret I have is not visiting the Art Aquarium in Ginza! It looked so pretty in pictures but I didn’t manage to go 😢 If you made it this far, I hope this post helped you in some way!! 🫶🏼
