A short getaway in Malacca 🌤 Here are some itinerary recommendations!

Chicken rice balls! It doesn't taste any different from your usual plate of chicken rice but you should try them at least once for the experience! We had ours at 南阳 chicken rice ball (recommended by a local) for breakfast.

Next, explore St. Paul's Church & Dutch Square!🚶🏻There's nothing much to do there but can you really say you've been to melaka without checking out those places? It’s a small climb up the stairs but I did appreciate the old ruins of the church and its surroundings.

Asam laksa & chendol at Jonker 88, it's a MUST! The waiting time was an hour, but the food's definitely worth the wait! We ordered asam and nyonya laksa, as well as chendol & ice kacang— I was rather disappointed with the durian chendol as the durian note was not that strong!

Sin Hiap Sin— a traditional 'bar' that sells alcoholic drinks but closes at 6pm! Asked the auntie at the counter for her fav drink & she said 'I don't drink I only sell' LOL. Go for an experience & try out some locally produced rice wine— my bf really enjoyed the drinks!

Walk along the Melaka River in the day & at night, they’re of two entirely different vibes! Hop in and out of the stores and cafes, and hunt for some street art too. And of course, you need to check out Jonker Night Market— witness a transformation of Jonker Street as the roads will be occupied with many stalls selling food, accessories etc at night!

Other recommendations that I didn't manage to experience myself would be catching the sunset at Pantai Klebang beach & checking out cafes like The Daily Fix and the Baboon House & tricycle ride! Also, grab was surprisingly not as available as we thought (compared to sg/jb) so do give some buffer time when booking one!
