a glimpse of my big back activities in SG 💋👅

Since I’m graduating and have already left SG for good, I’ve decided to share my big back activities😝 in SG for the past 3 years, rest assured that I’m only including those that are definitely not a flop, not mid, and worth trying! So here’s a curated noms collection for all you foodies, people who are visiting SG, or simply for you people who always have no idea where to eat!

1. Waa Cow!

My order: Truffle Wagyu Beef with add-on foie gras

A sucker for beef bowls and this just HITS, the foie gras? perfect. not overwhelming. at all.

2. Chewy Junior

Berry Jelly Cheese (my fav ⭐️), Cheese Lover, Original, Triple Crunch Roche, Maple Cornflakes Cheese(?) (seasonal)

NOT UR ORDINARY CREAM PUFFS, these are chewy, with an addictive filling and u sure won’t get bored with their toppings on top, they are endless.

❤️❤️ to Coffee Donkee, a super chill coffee shop located in haji lane, that allows customers to bring in food (ppl would usually eat things from the french american bakery here, cause this is just right beside it) probably because they only sell drinks, which are 👌👌

3. 3 Meals a day

A literal indonesian tourist staple but it is simply irresistible

My order: Salted Egg Chicken w/ Rice & 3 Layer Coffee

Others that i’ve tried: Seaweed Pork Soup, Cereal Chicken w/ Rice

I feel like all the Indos who are studying/working in SG would choose this as their comfort food 😋

4. Tonkatsu by Ma Maison

My order: Rosu Katsu Set (Deep-Fried Pork Loin Set)

free flow rice n salad!

Their Chicken Cordon Bleu is a must try too 😮‍💨

Where I would always end up in if Idk where to eat in Orchard, hearty meal here always!

5. 炭香 Charcoal Fish Head Steamboat Kallang

My order: Giant Grouper ⭐️, Nam Yu Crispy Pork ⭐️, Salted Egg Shrimp Balls

I haven’t had the chance to try the red grouper 🥲, but this was already so so comforting and their crispy pork 🤩, their soup is free flow too!

hangover cure? yes please 😜

6. Chirashizushi Shou

My order: Salmon Ikura Don

Super underrated! a friend who lived near the restaurant raved about the quality of the salmon used and she definitely ain’t playing 🫢🫢

Certified ⭐️FRESH⭐️

7. KULON

My order: Bakmi Komplit & from the fritter display I got the Bakwan Sayur & Tempe Mendoan

This hits a little too close to home 🥺 street-side noodle/‘mie ayam abang abang’ vendors typa feels 🤤

8. Tai Er

My order: Chinese Saukeraut Fish with add-on vermicelli, enoki mushroom, and bouncy tofu (must! never had tofu like this in other places)

9. Tori-Q

My order: Pork, Chicken Ball (⭐️must get, these are not ur typical ‘meatballs’ they ain’t playing w this one. TRUST.), Pork with Asparagus, Jumbo Sausage, Piri-Kara (Spicy 🌶️) Karaage

A classic, a go-to, I don’t even have to yap further about this, just get it if u ever pass by one of their kiosks 😮‍💨
