🌃 I am a sucker for rooftop dining restaurants w a view but big names like Ce La Vi & Lavo were too out of the budget for broke students like me & my friends... so i was on the hunt for affordable rooftop restaurants & i came across Sky Lido

🌃 Sky Lido offers a relaxing yet refined dining experience, & I love its mini garden at the entrance decorated w fairy lights and a swing, perfect for taking pics!

🌃 For our seating area, they provide a sofa with cushions!!! on one side & chairs on the other side. The sofa felt comfortable and clean and I loved how it elevated the dining experience. The whole table set up with the warm, yellow box light shining into the dark felt so lavish!

🌃 For the views Sky Lido offered, it was simply beautiful..... Catch your iconic sunset views here if you head here early enough, My friends & I were amazed by the view it provided as it turned out nicer in real life than we expected.

🌃 Just for the settings alone , I would already strongly reccomend this place for date nights or nights out with your friends to chit chat and catch up. Or CBD office people who want to get a drink after work and escape the hectic city for a moment!

📌 Its located at Concorde Shopping Centre lvl 5 , in a mall that looks super run-down, so we were all very surprised to see that there was a beautiful restaurant here.

🥖 Lavash Style Bread with Dips

💸 $14

-Freshly made spiced bread with smoked aubergine caviar and hummus

-Tbh, it did NOT felt lavish at all when it came.... 😟😟 but the bread was soft and tasty enough & I did enjoy the hummus, but the Aubergine Caviar ( i did NOT know this was just eggplant n not actual caviar) tasted weird and i was unsure of what I was eating... I would recommend to skip this but at least everything was served warm!

🍔 Sky Lido Cheeseburger

-House-made brioche bun, seared aged Argentinian beef patty, cheddar, bacon onion jam, house dressing, balsamic ketchup, lettuce, semi-dry tomato, pickled baby radish and a side of fries

-"OMG this is sooo good" - me & my friends at the first bite. 🤤🤤🤤 I dont think i have to elaborate much but the patty felt like a steak and it was just..... so good. 10/10 no regrets!!!

🍝 Chardonnay Tomato Seafood

-Tiger prawns, Korean flower clams, chardonnay,

tomato sauce, basil, spaghetti

-I regretted this.... It was so lacklustre because the sauce was so diluted that it barely gave the dish much taste. The pasta texture however, was perfectly al-dente so I would give their pasta another try, JUST NOT THIS SAUCE..... The prawns and clams were all good tho!! A pity 😭

🍫 Duo of chocolate

-Chocolate mousse, cocoa sponge and soil

I was hesitant to order this because I did not feel like simply chocolate alone was worth $12 but my friends went ahead anyw... 💔

-Despite looking like a lump of 💩 (ok jk it actly looks muchhh more presentable and quite cute irl) it tasted amazing. On my first mouth I changed my mind imm & was the one that non stop raved about this oops XD The mousse literally MELTED in my mouth and the choco tasted sooo good and creamy. A perfect ending!! Thanks frans 🤪

⭐️ All the portion sizing were big and they do not skimp on the quality. I would say they ensured that they made every dish worth its price tag and Sky Lido is definitely not a restaurant where you pay $$$ & leave w an empty stomach!! I cant wait to be back 💛
