Self-designed our first home: Curves part 1 🌀

Opting to self-design our home meant that we made many decisions on the fly, such as the (sort of) statement arches in our living / dining area! Here’s some of the little design / purchase decisions we made along the way. 〰〰

• Corner arches to spice up the stubborn beam between the living room and what used to be the balcony — it now frames our dining area! :,)

• Rounded edge dining table (STRANDTORP) from Ikea; clumsy-proof for clumsy human 👩🏻

• Curved old-balcony area thanks to HDB

• Rounded edge shoe + DB cabinet — this is smack in the middle of our living area so softening the look was a priority

• Curved wall corners that came with the old unit (our main con thinks the previous owners did it for fengshui reasons)

• Rounded edge tv console from Grey & Sanders; a piece that we were eyeing from the get-go 👀
