im back with another Melbourne market recommendation - South Melbourne Market

here's what i bought/ate there! i'll be leaving down the prices for those that i can rmb ~

🥐 Agathé

the tiktok famous pandan croissant was a 8/10 for me! it was definitely a good croissant - chewy, flaky, buttery, and the pandan was a great addition to flavour as well.

i think the other one we had was a nutella pastry? im not sure what it's called but it was not bad too! a little sinful for me but definitely worth the calories. the queue for a Saturday morning was pretty long, but it moved really fast - i think within 20-30 mins!

🦐🦪 South Melbourne Seafoods ($27)

the OYSTERS were so plump, fresh & juicy. the prawns were also really crunchy and fresh, but the portion was a little too big for the two of us. i suggest going in a bigger group to share if u can! as a seafood lover, i enjoyed this SOOO much 😋😋

🌷tulips ($18)

definitely an impulse buy but i bought it bc they were too pretty to resist..... did not regret as i took so many photos with it!

i came back to the market on a separate occasion and we tried:

🥪 Burrata Bar ($22)

we ordered Ugo Sandwich (FOCACCIA, PORCHETTA,

SALSA VERDE, 125G BURRATA) and wow it was really tasty. the porchetta had a crispy crust and the fat was melt-in-your-mouth as well. yumyum

🫖 Tea Drop ($6)

i ordered the iced honeydew green & it tasted pretty good~ they brew the tea upon ordering so it's very fresh (a little like chicha style HAHAHA). i initially wanted to order the matcha but i saw on google review that it tasted pretty average so i asked for their best seller!

OK THATS ALL i really love this market bc it feels more local-y than Queen Victoria Market~
