where to thrift in melbourne

what's an overseas trip for if you don't visit the vintage stores there? ;) did my research so you don't have to~ here are my top 3 vintage clothing stores i visited in melbourne city!

1. retrostar vintage clothing

location: Nicholas building, First Floor, 37 Swanston St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

this is one of the largest vintage stores in melbourne city and it is also conveniently located near the CBD district! they have a huge range of items here -- jewelry, cardigans, bags, vintage items from the different decades. we spent a good 1 hour here because there were just too many items we wanted to get! i got a lovely knitted cardigan for sgd$20 :)

2. lost and found market

location: 288 Brunswick St, Fitzroy VIC 3065, Australia

this is similar to retrostar vintage clothing, except the prices here are slightly steeper and they also sell kitchenware and lots of bits and bops! the store is also extremely spacious and have a huge variety of amazing finds, lots of women wear <3

3. vintage sole

location: Brunswick St, Fitzroy, 258 Brunswick St, Fitzroy VIC 3065, Australia

this store seems more catered to men but the items are mostly unisex. while the shop is more limited and smaller as compared to the previous two, they sell a range of vintage tees and i got the cutest the mountain tee here for an affordable price :) (prices go up to 70 in sg)
