My secret step to making my curls last super long

I have been on the hunt finding what tools I should use to make my curls last long and I finally found the trick ✨ Tbh step 4 is the most important step and what I did to achieve what’s shown in picture but if you want it to last even longer for stronger curls, you can include step 2 and 4.

Step 1: Start with hair protectant spray

This doesn’t affect how long lasting your curls are, but it is super important to protect your hair before applying heat directly on it

Step 2: Put hair mousse (optional)

This helps to prep your hair before you start curling it. The foam gives some hold and definition to your strands so it can ‘absorb’ the heat better

Step 3: Invest in a good hair curler

I am currently using GHD hair curler which is what many hair salons use! It’s a little on the pricey end but I heard that it heats up your hair without actually spoiling it + it also heats up super fast, within 5s. Alternatively, you can go on Shopee to get affordable hair curling wands which curls hair very well too.

✨Step 4: Use hair clips to ensure curls stay curled until it loses heat✨

This is the MOST IMPORTANT step! After curling a block of strands, DONT let the curls fall down immediately. Instead, use one of these hair clips to clip the curl so that the hot curled hair is forced to stay in that shape. Once the curl has cooled down, you can remove the clip. I swear by this trick because it makes all the difference when I do this step vs not doing this step.

Step 5: Put hair spray (Optional)

This is an optional step as it makes your hair a little harder and more srunchy but recommended if you really need your hair to be super curly and in shape for hours. Without putting this, your curls will loosen as the hours pass, but not too much! In the picture, I did not put hair spray.
