Non-toxic DIY to keep your home smelling fresh!

One of my favorite things is walking into a home that smells good. It’s one of the most inviting things you can do for your guests, and most importantly you. I love relaxing to some calming, fresh smells but I always make sure that I’m doing it in a way that doesn’t harm my body. Making your own room spray is one of the best ways to keep your home smelling amazing without releasing harsh chemicals into your living space:

DIY Room Spray:

1. Start out with a reusable glass spray bottle. I bought the Grove Co. Room Spray Bottle from Target for $9!

2. Fill it with 20-30 drops of your favorite essential oil. You can even mix a few if you’d like

3. Then fill half of the bottle with pure witch hazel, and the other half with distilled water.

4. Shake!

5. Add dried flowers for an extra scent. I like adding dried rose petals.

6. If adding flowers, let the solution sit overnight!

The scent will last for 1-3 days in the room and on linen for up to a week! What are some of your favorite scents?
