Questions to Ask Before You Get MARRIED! 💍

No matter how long you’ve been dating, or how long you’ve been engaged, these are some questions that I would say are pretty important to ask! I mean, you ARE ideally committing to someone for LIFE 😅

In my opinion, no topic should be off-limits when it comes to deciding whether or not to get married to someone, or at least when you’re thinking about what you want your long-term plan with a person should look like.

The main topics that I think are crucial to talk through are:

💞 family history / relationships with different family members

💞 money / financial planning

💞 sex and intimacy

💞 mental health

💞 family planning / having kids

💞 overall life values and goals

I think you can also really tell a lot about a person—their fears, dreams, etc.—by seeing how they react to having these different conversations. This is not to say that you have to have EVERYTHING figured out before you get married, because in a marriage there will always be learning, growing and changing. But talking through these things in advance, as difficult as these conversations may be, can be extremely beneficial in helping you avoid pitfalls and hurting each other in the future. They might also clue you into some red flags 👀
