I hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday.

The weather in California is so beautiful at the moment and I am so happy to be able to sit outside in the sunshine again. I normally enjoy the winter season, but days of rain on end was driving me nuts.

Here is a quick stack of some of my favorite modern interpretations of dark academia.

What I like most about dark academia is that the genre is an off-shoot of ‘new adult’ fiction, in that sweet spot between YA and Contemporary Fiction and normally centered around a college setting.

I feel like media really misses an opportunity with stories in the 18-30 age range and just sticks to high school or middle-age.

Hopefully with the rising popularity networks will take a shot developing shows that explore college and academic life as a whole.
