My childhood.. relived!

Such a throwback to my childhood where my mum would buy us whole pies from Chicken Pie Kitchen , previously known as Don Pies! Since then, no pies have tasted the same and almost none would share Chef Don & team's dedication to making chicken pies! So glad we're having them again. My favorite is the black pepper chicken pie where the aromatics hit on a whole new level👍🏾💯

Fast forward to years later, who'd have known that we'd have Crab Bee Hoon to go with the pies. Chef Don's commitment is impeccable. He cleans the crustaceans himself and the establishment would even refuse selling if the quality of seafoods for the day were not up to standard. As a diner, I greatly appreciate and it's such a bang for buck! The crab meat literally slid off the shell even in the tightest crevices, testament to its freshness.

The creamy white broth needs no introduction - layers of sweetness and unami from the crab and the punch of herbs to complement. I couldnt help but to lift the bowl up for the last sip 🤤👍🏾💯
