where to go for your next cbd coffee fix ☕️

I have always been on the search for good coffee around CBD area ever since I started working and these are some places I found myself frequently heading to for my morning coffee fix! ☕️

1. Pinhole Coffee Bar

This hole-in-the-wall cafe located near City Hall has been a hidden gem that I recently found! I never knew there was a coffee place along this street because of the Chinese-worded signboard hanged outside the entrance. We got their iced white ($6) and I have to say the coffee blend was just nice for me and the overall flavour profile has a good balance!

2. Maxi Coffee Bar

Many of you may know this place as the ‘blue-grid-table’ cafe and its located at Maxwell. Its minimalistic blue aesthetic has attracted many to visit even during the weekends! I ordered their Iced Cereal Milk Latte ($7.50) after hearing alot of good reviews about it … but I would say I wasnt impressed by it because it was too sweet for my liking and the coffee taste wasnt strong enough. However, my friend got their Iced Black and surprisingly as someone who never drinks Black, I actually really liked the taste of it and would order their Iced Black again if I pop by!

3. Alchemist

Alchemist has many outlets but the outlet at International Plaza is a corner unit and many of you may easily miss it. What I really like about this place is the fact that they have 2 different blends - Dark Matter (bold & nutty) and Luminous (floral & fruity). On different days I like to order different blends depending on what I’m craving for! Although my go-to order would be their Dark Matter blend Iced White.

4. Common Man Stan

Common Man Stand is the CBD ‘sibling’ of Common Man Coffee Roasters at Martin Road. Located within walking distance from Amoy Street, its very convenient after getting my lunch from Amoy. However, though their coffee blend is aromatic and has a genuine coffee taste, I’d say the size of the cup is pretty pricey for it!
