An icon of Paris you should NOT miss!

TBH going into Paris, I thought it was an overrated city - eiffel tower? meh. arc de triomphe? okay. and the louvre was one of those things i wanted to see just because how can you say you’ve been to Paris if you haven’t even seen the Louvre. But boy was I wrong about this being overrated.

Pros ✅

• So amazingly magnificent and surreal despite the fact that I’m not one to normally appreciate art pieces

• Plenty of history nestled within the vast extents of this museum

• Oh and did I mention that it’s FREE?! For students, those under the age of 25 and a bunch of other demographics at least. (check out the website if you fall into these categories)

• Even if you couldn’t care for the artwork, this ✨aesthetic✨ location makes for great photo-ops

Cons ❌

• Crowded at every point of the year, just depends on HOW crowded

• Definitely cannot expect to see everything because it’s just so darn huge

• At least a day will be bled off your Paris itinerary if you want to properly experience the Louvre

Tips and Tricks to Conquering the Louvre 🤩

• Go for the earliest slot! It is at 9am and a big portion of the crowd seeps in during the 11am slot so get a head start!

• List out the things you definitely want to see before heading to the museum! Different must-sees are in various wings throughout the museum so check off your list wing by wing!

• MONA LISA HACK: DO NOT queue in line to see this famous artpiece. Simply stand off to the side where the line is and admire it from there - you won’t be rushed and can still take some really good pics of it! If Dua Lipa did it, you can too.
