I’ve seen that these posts are popular and wanted to share my own weight loss journey!
In 2021, I was the smallest i’ve ever been, but I had a horrible relationship with food. I was also in a pretty weird relationship at the time where my boyfriend’s mom pretty much controlled the whole relationship.
In 2022, I broke up with my boyfriend of two years on my birthday because I couldn’t handle the situation anymore. I had very bad undiagnosed anxiety and constant panic attacks during the whole relationship. Over time, I developed a binge eating disorder and quit the one sport that I had played all my life~volleyball.
Fast forward a little bit to early 2023, I gained around 70 to 80 pounds from stress eating and losing the activity I was getting when I quit volleyball. In this year though, I made a lot of good friends and made good progress in a new relationship. I became super happy and have a whole new confidence. No more constant panic attacks or anxiety, and I feel like a new person.
After gaining my confidence back, I did realize that I wanted to get back into shape a little bit because it makes me feel better physically:)
In the past two months I’ve been working towards this goal and have lost 25 pounds plus a few extra. I feel so much more energetic and I feel so much more comfortable in my relationship with food. I always leave room for my cravings and try to fuel my body the best I can! In the fall, I plan to study nutrition because even with the bad relationships I had with food, I’ve always had a passion for learning about how it can affect the body.
