A job is not worth your mental and physical health

Taking a step back into motherhood and self-care unexpectedly today…

I quit my job.

And yes, I am so stressed about what this will do to my family financially. And yes, Imm worried about paying for my home, my kids’ school, their activities and necessities.

But I will figure it out.

I read something over the weekend to the effect of, when a mom is happy her family has a better quality of life. And at first I dien’t u understand how that alone could be so impactful. Then, I took some time off for some family obligations and last night my son said to me, “Mommy, I’m so happy when you are happy.”

And it clicked. I scheduled myself with my psychiatrist this morning, talked over my pros and cons list, and we decided my toxic work environment had to go, and I can figure all the rest out from there.

This is just me putting this out there that prioritizing yourself, as a mom, is so important. Your kids need you to be happy, and you deserve to be happy.
