In this instance, we are targeting the upper glutes!

1️⃣First and foremost you want to make sure you are holding the weight either away from you or in front of you to decrease the distance between the hip joint and the load. This allows for more tension on the glutes and you should be able to load the movement better like this as well!

2️⃣Second, you want to stop going strictly up and down and start thinking of decreasing the distance between the weight and your legs as you descend, coming down AND inward!

Give these two tips a try, and always make sure your toes are externally rotated, you have a slight bend in the knee, and you’re thrusting your hips into the pad to really start feeling those glutes 🍑
