What does failing have to do with ice cream?

I started off Monday convinced I was about to make the best ever homemade oatmeal crème pies, aka my Moms favorite Little Debbie snack. But then batch after batch of cookie came out wrong. They had no shape and all combined on the sheet. No matter what I did to the dough the same thing happened. (I figured out since I used the wrong oat.) In the past this most definitely would have caused a full on melt down. Five years ago, I burnt a batch of cookies for the first time ever. You would have thought I had killed someone based on my reaction. This time I just scraped the failed cookies into a Tupperware and used them instead as a really delicious ice cream topping. This way of being is a lot easier on my mental health. I can always try again, maybe this time I’ll make sure I have the right oats. #baking #bakingfail #oatmealcremepie
