So if you know me you know my healthy habits and routines literally keep me sane. Without them I am a mess and my anxiety runs rampant.

Here are some things that I have tweaked in my wellness routines within the past 6 months that have been life changing in making me feel like the best and healthiest version of myself.

1.No phone for the first hour upon waking

I feel like getting on my phone immediately sends me into fight or flight. It spikes me adrenaline and cortisol which is just not the way I prefer to start my mornings. Instead I wake up and make some coffee, meditate, journal, read etc.

2.Limit Alcohol

Alcohol just simply does not agree with me or my body. It makes me feel lethargic, puffy, anxious, and unwell. So when I noticed these symptoms post drinking I started to only drink alcohol when it was a special occasion and it has made a world of difference. I have even found some non-alcoholic adaptogenic alternatives that have been fun to play with.

3. Reading Non-Fiction

I am a strong believer that everyone should be reading non-fiction. It is such a good way to expand your knowledge and build a greater connection to the world. You can learn about anything. For me it allows me to learn more about my interests in order to have a deeper connection with them. For example I love reading about spirituality and manifestation.
