batam day 2!! 🇮🇩 ($3.60 tarts and $35 jetski?!)

time for day 2!! you can read about day one here 💕 ok time to overshare again 🤓

🥐BREKKIE

TOMORO COFFEE - Batam City Square

-we got 2 sets consisting of iced latte ☕🍼, iced chocolate 🥤, croissant 🥐 and pain au Chocolat 🍫

-nothing fancy, mostly for sustenance 🤷‍♀️ but again it was $6 for all this so not gonna complain 🤪

🚤JETSKI

HARRIS Resort Waterfront Batam

-we saw that the weather might take a turn for the worst in the afternoon (foreshadowing? 🤔) so we decided to go jetski at the hottest time of the day 😵‍💫

-after taking a 40 min cab ride (for $7sgd) , we arrived at Harris Waterfront!! it literally felt like OUR PRIVATE ISLAND 🏝 there were more staff than people (honestly I think we were the only tourists there) and asked to the jetski and we had to wait about 15 minutes for the staff to get the trainers I think? and explained that if I give them my details I can get 15% off! 🤑

-after FINALLY finding the place, there were 2 instructors who had taught us how to use the jetski and within 2 mins, WE WERE OFF INTO THE DEEP SEA!! 🌊

-similar to the go kart on Day 1 , it just constantly felt like we were gonna topple over bc the faster u go, you tend to "bounce" on the water???? IT WAS SO FUN THO!!! I'd recommend to go for a 1 time thing just to try!! 💯

-Overall super fun, they even gave us a free 5 min ride just to experience what it's like to go SUPER FAST 🏃‍♂️ and although I don't think I'll do it again anytime soon, I'm glad I got to experience this for a good price 🤗

🍽GAZOZ

Gazoz Cafe & Restaurant

-after zooming in the hot sun, we took a cab to gazoz and it was suddenly pouring!! ⛈️ so glad we made it in time to eat this AMAZING FOOD 😋

-me and my gf ordered 2 seperate dishes and it was HUGE!! we had to dabao half of what I ate because we sat there for 2 hours waiting out the rain and we still couldn't finish it 😵

-I had a chicken Parma 🐓 and it was a tad dry but the sauce and cheese was SOO GOOD!! the outside was suuuper crispy and I really liked it 😊

-my girlfriend had the chilli crab scrambled egg toast 🦀 and it was a lil jelat but the scrambled eggs underneath was sooo fluffy ☁️ I will say that its a bit different from the sg version as they really put the CHILLI in chilli crab, we could see the chilli padi seeds in the sauce 🥵 but ofc my Indian gf could tahan it so she really liked it 🥰

🥧ITSUMO TART

itsumō TART / KARLA KARLA by itsumo

-right opposite gazoz was this really brutalist looking shop that was the famous itsumō tart! we went in and I didn't capture it but the menu was made out of recycled TWG packaging! #sustainability ♻

-we got a hojicha tart and y'all.... THERE'S A REASON WHY IT'S SO HYPED!!! the filling had such a good ratio of tea to cheese flavour and the tart itself was the perfect amount of crunch without the tart getting jelat ✨

🛍️GRAND BATAM MALL (not pictured)

-nothing much to say about it except the really big miniso-esque store called KKV!! it was really big and we just spent an hour there looking at the items they sold but ended up not buying anything 😶‍🌫️

TLDR: BREKKIE ➡ JETSKI ➡ LUNCH ➡ DESSERT ➡ MALL ➡ HOTEL
