I always love to wash my rice about 4x. The best rice for me to make a huge pot like that for parties is (Par-Boiled Rice) 10 lbs should be just enough for a party of 100people.

You need

1) Bacon 🥓 this is fried first on medium setting .

2) Par-boiled Rice

3) Canola oil

4) tomato sauce 3cans

5) Salt

6)Sazon packet seasoning 3packs

7) Adobo 3 large spoons

8) Garlic minced about a small jar or a sum of 5 large spoons

9) aluminum foil

10)Beef bouillon the jar to add 4 large spoons if you’re cooking about 10 cups of rice .

11) Gandules can 5 cans

Portions should be to the amount of rice you’re cooking. I always add butter to my rice after it is almost boiled through with the aluminum foil on top and cover to keep moisture in. Always cook your bacon first then add the sofrito,minced garlic, tomato sauce and adobo with bouillon into the pan once bacon is semi cooked, add equal amount of water to the amounts of rice you added,don’t burn bacon or cook it crisp as it will not matter later. The bacon will soak up with moisture of pot. Add rice to semi cooked bacon, do not drain the bacon grease this will add flavor to rice. Enjoy Bestie 🥓#puertoricanrice #ricewithgandules #food
