crispiest yet softest smelly tofu 🤤

I am a 臭豆腐 lover, and have eaten many in my life. 100% of my experience before was eating them at the night markets, and I’m glad our driver brought us to a shop selling just 臭豆腐！

The shop is huge, with ample clean seats inside for you to enjoy your tofu in peace without having to stand around and wiggle the tofu into your mouth. 😏

We ordered two big portions, and it was a perfect snack for 5 of us before heading out to the main dinner! We were lucky to have come during non-peak hours where there was no queue, because I’ve heard queues for this shop can get quite long around dinner time 😳.

On first bite, I knew this 臭豆腐 had its own huge store for a reason. The texture of the tofu.. 💯 perfectly fried and crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside 😭 and it’s so juicy that you must bite with caution. Totally different from the ones eaten in the night markets. The flavour was also 🤤 the contrast with the pickled vegetable and fresh radish was superb, leaving me fully satisfied with my 臭豆腐 craving for the entire trip, that’s how good it was 🥰 just once is all I need.
