I went jogging and I surprised myself by not feeling tired 🫢 By tired, I meant feeling like my heart was going to pop out of my chest but the jog was surprisingly bearable given that cardio is the bane of my existence.

Let me preface this by saying that I do other forms of exercise like strength, hikes, and pilates. Just not jogging…

🏃‍♀️ Always warm up first!!

Given the scared newbie I was, I did my best to do several warm-ups to get my hips stretched out and my body slightly warm. Dynamic stretching is key to ensure that your joints are well-oiled

🏃‍♀️ Maintain your heart rate within zone 2

To me, this was the most important tip I’ve incorporated. I’ve tried jogging on several occasions but always found myself to be too tired until I tried this tip. Maintaining your heart rate helps to ensure that you won’t be too burnt out and you are constantly getting enough oxygen.

🏃‍♀️ Choose an upbeat playlist

Songs that you listen during gym will not hit the same when you are running! For me, upbeat pop songs usually do the trick because of their higher beats per minute, leaving you more excited.
