Why I Stopped Posting My Daughter Online 🫶

I realized that in an age where information spreads rapidly and sometimes uncontrollably, safeguarding her digital identity is paramount by limiting her exposure. I aim to shield her from potential risks such as cyberbullying, identity theft, and the myriad of unforeseen consequences that come with an online presence. I want her to grow up with the ability to make informed decisions about her own privacy and how she wishes to present herself to the world.

It is a conscious choice to prioritize her safety and autonomy over the fleeting gratification of social media likes and shares. This way, she can enjoy a childhood filled with real world experiences, free from the pressures and judgments of the online world. When she is old enough to understand the implication, she can then decide for herself how she wishes to navigate the digital landscape. Until then, I will continue to protect her as best I can, ensuring she has the freedom to grow, learn and thrive in a secure environment.
