Now don’t get me wrong….. I still love track. Even though I was really talented at it (not to toot my own horn) life has surprises for you!

Unfortunately I went on a birth control that made me gain about 30 pounds QUICK which is very difficult to get used to when running is your main sport

I had intended on running track in college (which I did for about 2 and a half years) BUTTTT when I say life has other plans…. I MEAN IT

I got extremely sick my freshman year of college…. In and out of the hospital and put on maybe 15 different types of medications that once again caused weight gain, and on top of that, it was multiple respiratory infections that made it harder and harder to breathe during running, even with an inhaler.

Luckily, I was a strength and conditioning major that was learning how to truly take care of my body and workout “properly”

I started going to the gym religiously and found out that it was everything I needed. I could workout any emotions I needed to and feeling strong is truly the best feeling. Being able to do simple tasks without needing extra help has been a huuugggeeee ego booster for me!

Do I miss track? YES of course I do!

Am I attempting to get back into running? Yes!!

Do I believe that life has a plan? YES!!!

Stay active and see how good you can feel, life might give you signs that your sport maybe isn’t your sport! Always try new things!
