I’ve been trying to cut back on my probiotics vitamins and incorporating more probiotic-rich foods into my diet. I loveeee acai and there are many health benefits to them so my first step was to incorporate more acai into my diet!

I’ll share a few ways I like to eat my acai in a bit but first, let’s talk health benefits.

⭐️ Acai is nutrient-rich containing healthy fats and low amounts of sugar. It also contains traces of minerals and plant compounds.

⭐️ Acai pulp is incredibly rich in antioxidants that neutralise the damaging effects of free radicals throughout the body.

⭐️ They may improve cholesterol levels and boost brain function (as it counteracts the damaging effects of inflammation and oxidation in the brain).

⭐️ Acai is fibre rich — cleanses the digestive system and boost the metabolism to improve gut health. It also contains lots of prebiotics that assist probiotics in digestion!

How I eat my acai:

🥣 Acai Bowls — PRO TIP: freeze fruits like bananas and berries to increase their shelf life and throw them into my acai bowls or smoothies 🍌🍓 I also like to throw in some oats/ granola AND ALMOND BUTTER 🤩 I love having different textures so the nutty crunch and little grains of acai pulp together is SO YUMMY!

🥣 Smoothies — I usually make them with a couple of scoops of acai, yogurt, coconut water and some frozen fruits!

🥣 Acai Yogurt — Since acai is already sweet, I mix it with sugar-free greek yogurt and granola for breakfast/ lunch/ snack.

OK NOW FOR THE MVP OF THIS POST:

🤩 My 3.6L Tub of Sambazon Acai Sorbet — I got this for $60 almost 6 months ago and am now almost done with it. This is my fav brand I’ve tried so far because of the pulpy texture — I love that there’s a little (VERY LITTLE btw) crunch to the acai and it’s not completely smooth 🤤 feels more natural too! Saved sooo much $$ too — $60 can buy what.. 5-7 acai bowls? HAHAHA
