My FAV Budgeting Method!

This is how I would budget to live the funnest life I can in my 20’s while being stable in my saving and investing!

If the INCOME equals : $5,000

50% ($2,500) NEEDS: Rent, insurance, car, groceries

40% ($2,000) WANTS: Travel, shopping, experiences

10% ($500) SAVING & NVESTING: Mutual funds, HYSA, stocks

This way, all your needs are met! You’re able to eat well and afford the cost of living. However, the cheaper you’re able to live, the more FUN you can have with your money and put towards experiences. BUTTT, I would say 40% is already plenty and encourage you to put more of that $ towards saving and investing.

If you invest 10% of your income or $500 / month, you’ll see substantial growth in mutual funds over time. This is a great way to go!
