most value-for-money set lunch in town😍✨

You read it right, this is a great place to MEAT! If you'e ever looking for an affordable set lunch around town, this is the place! KOAL is a Les Amis group restaurant that focuses on grilled meats and thet offer 3 course lunch sets (even on weekends!) starting from just $23++.

I reserved a table for two on a Saturday during lunch time and here's what I ate:

I ordered the grassfed ribeye set ($31) which came with-

🥩grassfed ribeye rice bowl

The rice bowl came with an onsen egg, corn, mushrooms, kimchi, and charcoal grilled ribeye steak! This was a very hearty bowl, the steak also had a nice marinade. The cut of the beef was decent though it was a bit chewy at some parts.

🧀burrata salad

The set also came with a small starter of burrata salad, this was delicious and a great start to the meal, wish it came in a bigger serving 🤭

🍧fizzy umeshu jelly with berries

The set came with a dessert and it was so refreshing! I've never had fizzy umeshu jelly, it tasted like sparkling choya mixed with fresh berries.

I also tried their charred broccoli with bonito flakes ($9) and this was hands down the best broccoli I've ever had. I'm usually not a fan of broccoli but the char from the grill gave it a smokey taste that I loved.
