RANT! cried leaving a nail salon 😭

Been using pressed on nails for quite sometime now after starting my own pressed on nails brand and the last palour visit left me visiting doctors for prolonged treatment (will leave this for another time 🥵)

but gurlie here decided to be a risk taker and tried out this new nail place because i desperately needed a themed set for an event that my own artist was not able to produce in time 🥲

was quite convinced by this salon coz when they saw the design i wanted and immediately quoted me without saying much about unable to achieve etc so i thought hmmm professional maybe 🫠

but the experience was so bad from the start till the end and i just bawled as i paid and walked out of that place 😭

1. i was being pushed around by the different nail artist 😖

apparently they were not very keen in doing my set because they can’t draw?? i ended up switching 3 different artist and these were all arranged internally by them no one bothered to communicate or explain to me what was going on 😭

2. was “tsked” at multiple times 😢

i showed the inspo pic to all 3 different artist that was helping me for at least 10-15 times and was never impatient about it and still smiled and tell them it’s ok from time to time 😭 but the second one didn’t even bother to remember the design or take a photo of the design so after a while she forgot what to draw and when i voluntarily showed her the pic she just “tsked” at me. thought i was just being sensi initially until she “threw” my hand back to me after she was done drawing and asked if it was ok, so i just said i wanted it to be bigger, which is according to the pic but she drew a tiny one (halps 😭) she then frustratedly removed what she drew and draw again 🥶

3. incomplete work but act blur 😭

i’m not sure if yall could see the chrome nail has a really obvious lining at the bottom that is black? yes, the artist used black as my chrome base (i mean it’s a first time for me, and even my pri school art teacher tells me not to colour black first and leave it for the last?) but as he rubbing in didn’t work quite well she didn’t bother to alert me of try to rectify, she sensed that i saw it so she immediately put my hands into the lamp and assume what’s done is done 🤯 istg it’s super ugly

4. super unhygienic and unprofessional

As she opens up the chrome powder it kinda “splashed” so she picked up the “splashed” chrome powder on her apron and used it on my nail instead of using those from the tub, but i wasn’t quite bothered by it because materials can be expensive for small businesses. but when it was insufficient, she just acted blur and got no plans to take more chrome powder to cover up the black lining 🫠

till the last moment when i saw the end product i was already super teary because of how horrible the experience was and how much i was contemplating to just walk away mid way but stayed hoping i was just overreacting 😭 i held in my tears till i paid, as i left i saw my bf picking me up, i immediately bawled and felt all the 委屈 🥺

it just feels like i paid to get myself talked down to and treated poorly 😢 linking back to my thumbnail photo; the set didn’t even last for more than a week, the extensions broke off and i realised the extensions used was as thin as probably 2 pieces of paper 😅 don’t think I will be getting my nails done in a palour anytime soon after this 😭 #RealTalk #SalonReviews #nails
