I used to hate bananas in smoothies SO much.

I thought they were overpowering and took away from all the other flavors in a smoothie and — to an extent— if it’s a combo of other delicious fruits and bananas, I’ll ask for them to take the banana out.

But hear me out, bananas are incredibly sweet, they add some extra creaminess to your smoothies and — when used properly — they compliment simple ingredients and elevate them to the next level.

I also added some extra ~ things ~ to add some extra, hormone-balancing ingredients that'll help you feel better throughout the day.

Ingredients

1 frozen banana

1 cup ice

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1 tbsp ground flaxseeds (great source of fiber and fat, plus good for inflammation)

1 tsp maca powder

1 tsp salted caramel peanut butter powder

Blend all of your ingredients, line a cute glass with some almond butter (optional) and pour your delicious smoothie.
