have you been working out for a while & wondering why you aren’t seeing results? let me share with you the common reasons i see when people claim they “aren’t seeing results” 👇🏼

✨ you’re interested in results, but you’re not committed!

being truly committed means finding ways to make a healthy lifestyle a PERMANENT and CONSISTENT part of your life. this means planning your workouts, your meals, staying consistent, and ensuring that you are prioritizing intentional movement (meaning it doesn’t get skipped or pushed aside when plans, holidays, travel, etc come up)

✨ you’re not following a structured program to achieve your goals! staying consistent with a particular routine is necessary to see true growth

✨ you’re not managing your stress levels! your mental health affects your physical health so much (and vice versa). it’s important to set boundaries in your life & find ways to manage your stress so that you can focus on you when you’re in the gym

✨ getting at least 7 hours of sleep is ESSENTIAL to seeing results! this is when your body is rebuilding those torn muscle fibers & growing. it’s also important that this sleep is RESTFUL.. establishing a bedtime routine & consistent bed time (if possible) is helpful

✨ you’re not resting enough! lifting 6+ days a week is overkill. your muscles won’t have enough time to rest before training them again if you’re lifting too frequently. make sure you have at least 2-3 days off of lifting heavy weights

✨ you’re not pushing yourself enough! i see firsthand how common it is for people to underestimate the effort it takes to build muscle & get stronger. JUST SHOWING UP AND BEING CONSISTENT ISNT ENOUGH! you need to truly push yourself intentionally during every exercise

✨ you aren’t fueling your body correctly! you may be under or overeating. it’s important to discover what your maintenance caloric intake is and hover within that range as you look to see progress in the gym
