Before & After: NYC Kitchen 🪄

I transformed my cave-like NYC rental kitchen into a space I actually wanted to be in with some easy, renter-friendly hacks! 🪄

To lighten up the space, I used some peel-and-stick wallpaper from Wayfair, which was only $25 and completely changed the feel of the entire kitchen. Then, to keep bringing in color, I framed a photo I took from my travels and hung it center, so it was the first thing you saw when you walked into the kitchen.

I also added a pop of color with a blue and gold indoor/outdoor rug which was resilient to spills and heavy foot traffic.

No window? No problem. There are so many great realistic-looking faux plant options on sites like Amazon. This one was a faux pothos and I loved how it was narrow enough to fit on the wall, but left a big impact.

Small kitchens can be intimidating, but these are some hacks that really brighten up the space and even make it feel bigger!
