tiktok says this is the BEST cafe in korea BUT 💔😞🙃

everyone probably has heard about CAFE ONION from tiktok/ig.. & it’s super hyped up, claiming that it’s the BEST cafe in korea?! however I’m here to say it is #NotForMe … my v last one before I let you in on MY best cafe in korea (NEWJEANS was there!)

WAITING TIME ⏰ ———

we waited over 20 mins for our coffee/drinks.. while we got our pastries immediately, the coffee machine was down and they didn’t let us know about it.. 😭 we asked several times & they only replied us with “SOON!” which was NOT soon.. while this will not happen to all branches I felt that they should’ve a better SOP instead of making everyone wait so long 😭 they were kind enough to give us a free bread as service as they felt bad for making us wait but… next point:

WORST COFFEE ☕️ ———

yknow those type of coffee which tastes like DRAIN WATER? this was exactly it. to make things worse we bought the drinks to warm ourselves up in the cold weather but it came LUKEWARM 😭 personally I hate wasting food so I drank everything even though it was really bad but my friend drank ONE MOUTH of her sweet chestnut latte & THREW IT AWAY.. because it was 1. of weird texture, didn’t feel like a drink 2. disgusting sweetness 3. lukewarm temperature.. all of these combined made it taste SO BAD she rly couldn’t take any more sips… 😡

PASTRIES ARE GOOD THO 🥯 ———

while I wouldn’t say it’s the best, it’s definitely good & I could see why it’s so popular! the baked were super aesthetic as well so that’s a plus point! 🫣 however I rly wouldn’t claim it as the BEST because I’ve tasted better…

TLDR? ———

worth for baked goods & aesthetics but just get your drinks elsewhere!!! they weren’t cheap either ☹️ have you been to cafe onion? lmk how your experience was!!!
