We love going to Korea and other than the obvious shopping at Olive Young, here are our top reccos!!🤗☁️

⛅️ 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙚𝙤𝙪𝙡

🔸Eunpyeong Hanok Village

📍1in1Jan Cafe

This place isn’t very touristy, in fact I think the Hanoks are actually people’s houses (so cute), we budgeted only morning - lunch, there really isn’t that much to do there but it’s very quaint and chill 😙 This cafe is wildly popular, you should aim to get there at least 20-30min before opening to get the best spot!

🔸Ikseondong

📍Cheonsudang Cafe, Mil Toast House, Nakwon Cafe, Tteuran (Tea House), Donut Jongsu, Oncheonjib Sukiyaki

We fell in love with Ikseondong, there were so many little handcrafted shops to explore and we had so much fun at all the little photo booths. It’s perfect for people who like to cafe hop, and you can get your portrait drawn live for a cute souvenir!

🍔 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙖𝙩 😋 (that isn’t KBBQ)

🔸 Cafes - There are sooo many you can literally just walk around and pop into any that catches your eye (or when your partner is sick of shopping🤭)

🔸 Ganjang Gejang - 📍Hongdae Soy Sauce Marinated Crab was our best experience, the crabs are so fresh and sweet and when paired with seaweed & roe rice, HEAVEN in a mouthful 🤤

🔸 Yukjeon - We had this a couple times, the beef slices are soooo soft. The yummiest was at a store in Hongdae, it’s like at a street corner!

🔸 Hotpot rice - 📍Solsot, there’s a broth you can pour into your pot once you’re done with the rice, Leo loves that but Mik not so much 🙂‍↔️ let us know what you think!

🔸 Naengmyeon - it’s everywhere and even in the cold weather, this is shiokkkk. It’s the perfect hangover meal haha and we love ours with mustard!

🔸 Chimaek - 📍Noo Na Hol Dak, we have this on every trip and we just order a beer bc it’s a good pairing haha

📍Mok Ro Gwan & Doma - for KBBQ, both at Hongdae

📍 Myeongdong Kyoja - Bib Gourmand dumplings and noodles at Myeongdong (both stores are good)

📍Sin Lee Do Ga - just for the vibes and the heck of roasting your own marshmallow over an open fire pit tbh 🤪, at Hongdae

📍KwonSookSoo - Michelin 2⭐️ Korean Fine Dining, at Gangnam if you are feeling ✨fancy✨

✨ Hongdae-Gongcha-Corner Food Truck (Ahjumma with the big hair and blue eyeshadow) has the BEST 🍥Odeng fishcakes. Trust.

😻 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙤

🔸 Darts - the Korean machines have super fun games like this fishing one where Mik got a giant fish and someone actually fished out a rusty can 😂

🔸 Shooting Range - reenact your own Kdrama scene, or fear for your partner’s safety if they’re a klutz LOL

🔸 Stock up on Lenses - not kidding Olens have the best sales

🔸 Photobooths - we had so much fun planning out the “story” and scenes, each only costs SGD$6 😃

🔸 Snack on Street Food - cannot finish one, every turn there’s a new delicacy. So, we just keep going back hahaha 😂

🔸 Print Photocards - then head to daiso to get albums for only $2 hehe cutest souvenirs ever (PS if you are a Sanrio fan, you can specially seek out the machines at the Sanrio cafes!)

🏩 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮

3/3 times we’ve stayed at L7 Hongdae for its convenience - cross the street and there’s food and late night shopping; and it’s a very walkable distance from Honggik MRT which can easily get us to most places ☺️
