bought ALL scents from TAMBURINS, what’s GOOD? 🤷🏻‍♀️🫢💖

tamburins is WIDELY known thanks to blackpink jennie, the IT girl 😍 whatever jennie advertises for, it always gets FAMOUS! however, given the hefty price tag, are tamburin scents/products really worth it? on my trip to korea, I bought an EXPENSIVE gift set containing ALL the hand cream scents so you DON’T have to 🤭 heres my take on the brand & whether it’s worth the hype it’s getting nowadays! 🤷🏻‍♀️

EXPLORER KIT (ALL 7 HAND CREAMS) 🐚 ———

no doubt, tamburins NAILS it when it comes to packaging 🙈 I knew I had to get it the moment I saw it because it was SO BEAUTIFUL, you got to see the falling sand in real life & just how LUXURIOUS it looks 😭 got it without hesitation to try all the scents & it came with a compass & magnifier which I thought were cute, even though it isn’t super practical. they came in 15ml form which I thought was well thought-out since you get to try out everything in small amounts! 🤍

here’s what I think of the scents:

1. 000: sandalwood | patchouli | earthy - 2/10… this is tamburins signature scent/jennie/tiffany/taeyeon’s fav but what I’m about to say might get me cancelled 😭 please understand this is just MY opinion! 🙈 personally this is #NotForMe & while naturally earthy/woody scents aren’t my favs, I was okay w them usually 😅 but the moment I smelled this, I shookt my head because I didn’t like it at all & felt that it made my head hurt a lil.. but then again this is probably just MY subjective taste! 😰

2. VEIN: laurel leaf | lily of the valley | neat leather - 7/10! I was most excited about this scent due to the description & if I were to describe it, it really feels like you’re in the forest taking a relaxing stroll! which was really cool bc you could SMELL NATURE through this! 🍃 I could understand why they called it vein!

3. FEY9: fig tree | ambrette seed | sweet bitterness - 9/10! my fav out of the lot! the sweet one out of the whole lot & I think girls who like fruity scents like me would DEFINITELY love this! but as it was fig scent, I’d think it’s unisex as well~

4. FLOW: sandalwood | subtle leather scent | spicy - 7/10~ it was crazy bc I could actually smell the “subtle leather scent” 🤭 the spicy scent wasn’t overpowering which I liked & it’s definitely a unisex scent! i liked this sandalwood version way more than their signature 000!

5. BLESSED: blackberry | citrus | fruity fragrance - 8/10! soothing comforting scent! it wasn’t too strong which made it pleasant to smell as it was relaxing 🤍 I think this is one of the more unique smells since we don’t really get blackberry scents in products! I would say this is one of my top few in the lot 🖤

6. FEAR: hard soil and root | grapefruit | fresh air - 5/10 😰 personally not a fav of mine but it smelled EXPENSIVE & I would say those who like guy scents would love this it’s more of the woody/mysterious smell~ the combi of grapefruit & hard soil and root was unique but fresh air seems slightly ?! to me 😅 those who like scents from like A&F would like this! 🙂

7. POSY: rose bushes | patchouli | wet soil - 9/10! I liked this scent because the 🌹 smell wasn’t too strong but it was subtle & fresh! which made using this relaxing instead of like those strong perfume scent that might rush up your nostrils 😂 it felt like I was in a garden that just rained~ 😘

SANITIZER TRIO 🤚🏻 ———

7 was a nice scent that wasn’t featured in hand creams!!! I personally really liked it~ personally the texture of the sanitizer felt slightly like glue but after applying it it gets absorbed really fast & makes it lightweight~ the packaging might have mixed reviews as while it was simple & clean it might have felt “less luxurious” as it was just plastic & the applicator was a squeezing tube that reminded me of glue bottles 😅

WOULD I GET IT AGAIN? 🤷🏻‍♀️ ———

I would as gifts but definitely not for myself as it had a HEFTY price tag 😭 for the price, I’m not sure if the quality was matching up since there were many other korean brands with concepts like tamburins (that are more underrated as jennie isn’t their ambassador 🥵) personally while the hand cream packaging is super unique & really looked like shell, the price tag felt like I was paying for the aesthetics & brand name over the actual products! one good thing though, the scents are unisex which makes it good for gifting 🤍 my greatest disappointment other than the price tag was the signature scent 000, which I was so excited to try because they were many celebrities’ fav! but a few of my family members & I rly didn’t like it 😰 again, it’s based on subjective taste! I would say other than the fact that jennie advertises for this, I personally wouldn’t get this brand anymore as there are other korean brands like NONFICTION/GRANHAND etc. which are just as amazing (AMAZING interior too!) I don’t regret spending though since they’re gifts for others 💖
